Monster Howl 2017

Spirit Nights!

Thank you! We have met our goal by fulfilling 80 fully stuffed backpacks for our Tomball kiddos affected by Hurricane Harvey! A HUGE thank you- these will put smiles on these kiddos faces and perhaps provide a bit of relief for parents who haven’t had a chance to even think about their kids needing clean, healthy backpacks, lunch boxes, and water bottles and some things to call their own for tomorrow! #tcesdoingwhateverittakes!

Thank you to all of our TCES families and teachers that showed up at Creekside Forest Elementary to help stuff backpacks for kids affected by Hurricane Harvey. In one hour, our three “Creek” school families and friends were able to stuff and donate 500 plus backpacks for many schools in need! By 11:00 we ran out of backpacks to fill! Since yesterday, we have identified a school, here in Tomball, in need of 80-100 backpacks for boys and girls ages 5-11 stuffed with supplies and items sure to brighten their day! The purpose is not so much to provide school supplies as it is to ensure children have a clean new backpack, lunch box, and water bottle to bring to school on Tues and some fun things to keep their minds and hands busy and a smile on their faces! Choose items from below at your discretion – just a few are needed!
Walmart, 5-Below, and HEB have very inexpensive backpacks and lunch boxes in the $3, $5, $10, and $12 range. *Please know that our local Walmart’s have graciously donated some items to help us fulfill this need!
Ideas for fillers:
  • fun water bottles
  • ice packs
  • pencil bags, boxes
  • stickers
  • books
  • puzzles
  • mini lego sets
  • mini barbie/ barbie accessory sets
  • craft sets/supplies
  • smelly pencils
  • crayons
  • markers
  • notebooks/journals
  • crazy socks
  • games
  • playdough
  • NEW stuffed animals (must have tag on)
  • Mad Libs/activity books
Please label stuffed backpacks by category:
Boy or Girl
K-2nd (4-7 years) or 3rd-5th (8-11 years)
You may drop off stuffed and labeled backpacks on the porches of Laura Colvin’s house: 39 Wrangler Pass Dr. or Monica Flores’s house 47 Valera Ridge in the Spincaster neighborhoodWe also will be accepting just supplies or just backpacks.
*We will deliver these supplies to the school on Monday just before the kids return to school. We know our community is doing so much – we are so proud to be a part of it! Please text or call Laura or Monica with any questions! Thank you!

TCES Staff Favorite Things

The TCES PTO loves to promote our wonderful school in many different ways, which is why we asked our amazing teachers, administrators, and staff to share a few things—-a few “favorite” things—about themselves with the TCES community.

We’ve posted their replies to our site (click the logo above or look under Useful School Links), so check out our Teachers&Staff Favorite Things page and learn more about the TCES family!

PTO is pleased to announce our new service program: Timber Creek Gives!

Our hope is that TimberCreek GivesTimber Creek Gives will foster a sense of community service and compassion in our children for those in need. With this in mind, our PTO has setup opportunities at TCES to connect our families with some outstanding charitable organizations within our own community. Our first opportunity to give is this month!

During the week of November 7-11:

  •  Food Drive Benefiting: Tomball Emergency Assistance Ministries (TEAM)
    • We will be collecting: Canned soups, canned vegetables, canned fruit, jellies, and packaged kids snacks
    • To contribute: You may send donations in with your child or drop them off at our Timber Creek Gives donation station in the TCES main hallway. Our volunteers will deliver the donations to the TEAM offices in Tomball on Friday afternoon. Please consider donating to help our local families in need!
